Dr. Dina Brulles
Dina Brulles, Ph.D., serves as NAGC’s Governance Secretary and formerly as the board’s School District Representative. Dr. Brulles is the director of gifted education in Paradise Valley USD in Arizona as well as the Gifted Program Coordinator at Arizona State University. Her work in these roles, along with her consulting and publications, emphasize and encourage inclusive identification practices and programming in gifted education.
Dr. Brulles received the 2019 and the 2020 NAGC Book of the Year Awards (for practitioners), their inaugural 2014 Gifted Coordinator Award and the Professional Development Network Award in 2013. She has actively supported and served as a mentor for the Javits Frasier Scholarship Program since 2010. By sharing her interests and experiences, Dr. Brulles support others in their efforts to develop our diverse gifted learners’ passions, potential and aspirations.
Books that Dr. Brulles has co-authored include, A Teacher’s Guide to Flexible Grouping and Collaborative Learning (Free Spirit Publish); Designing Gifted Education Programs (Prufrock Press); Differentiated Lessons for All Learners (Prufrock Press); The Cluster Grouping Handbook (Free Spirit Publishing); Teaching Gifted Kids in Today’s Classrooms (Free Spirit Publishing); and Helping All Gifted Children Learn (Pearson Assessments), along with other publications, teacher training courses, and the upcoming Naglieri Ability Tests: Verbal, Quantitative and Nonverbal (MHS, 2021).
